Description: |
Provincial Highway 15 runs through the northwest corner of the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands in the vicinity of the village of Seeley’s Bay. Along this alignment there are seven (7) intersections with roadways under either Township or County (United Counties of Leeds and Grenville) jurisdiction: · Seeley’s Bay Main Street (County Road 47) – west leg (T-configuration); · Bay Street / Big Hill Road (cross configuration); · Seeley’s Bay Main Street (CR 47) – east leg (T-configuration); · County Road 32 (LOCATION NOT INCLUDED IN THIS EXERCISE); · Back Street (cross configuration); and, · Thomas Road / Sweet’s Corners Road (cross configuration). With the exception of the intersection at County Road 32 there is presently no roadway illumination installed along the highway at the above-referenced locations. Township Council has requested that Staff review the technical feasibility and financial implications of installing illumination at the various locations. The Township is seeking the services of a qualified engineering consultant to document a review of each location to assess the technical feasibility of installing roadway intersection lighting, provide budgetary cost estimates and make recommendations on a logical phasing/order of installation. Please note that we are not seeking an assessment of whether illumination is technically warranted at these locations.Quotation submissions may be provided in hard copy format or digital via email to agoheen@townshipleeds.on.ca. If submitted via email, it is the Contractor’s responsibility to verify receipt of the Quotation documentation. |
